Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) *
Program Basics
Q: What is Gene Informed Wellness?
A: Gene Informed Wellness is an online health consulting program that uses functional genomic analysis, advanced lab testing, and personalized nutrition and lifestyle guidance to help individuals achieve optimal health. We don’t guess—we use your unique genetic and biochemical data to guide your health plan.
Q: How is your program different from a traditional doctor’s visit or generic wellness plan?
A: Traditional approaches often treat symptoms in isolation. We look at the root causes through genetics, lab markers, and lifestyle factors. Instead of one-size-fits-all advice, we design a completely personalized plan based on your unique biology.
Q: Who is this program for?
A: Anyone interested in better understanding their health at a deeper level. Whether you struggle with chronic health challenges, unexplained symptoms, or just want to optimize energy, longevity, and vitality—this program is built to meet you where you are.
Functional Genomics & Testing
Q: What is Functional Genomic Analysis?
A: It’s the study of how your unique genetic makeup influences your health. Unlike traditional genetic testing that simply tells you about disease risk, functional genomics focuses on how your genes are expressed and how lifestyle, nutrition, and environment influence those expressions.
Q: Do you offer genetic testing, or do I need to bring my own results?
A: We will guide you through ordering new genetic testing. If you already have 23andMe V4 existing raw DNA data we can also include this in our in-depth analysis.
Q: What kinds of lab tests do you use?
A: Depending on your case, we may recommend comprehensive bloodwork, gut microbiome analysis, nutrient testing, or other advanced lab testing. All labs are ordered through trusted partners and results are reviewed with you in detail.
Consulting Sessions & Support
Q: How does online health consulting work?
A: Our program is fully virtual. We connect via secure video sessions, messaging, and email support. You’ll have scheduled consulting calls to review findings, set goals, and adjust your personalized health plan.
Q: How often will I meet with my consultant?
A: Frequency varies by package, but typically includes regular check-ins (monthly) along with additional support through messaging or email as needed.
Q: Will I get a personalized nutritional plan?
A: Yes. Based on your genetics, labs, and goals, we design a customized nutritional strategy and supplement protocol to support your body’s unique needs.
Logistics & Enrollment
Q: How do I get started?
A: Start with an initial consultation where we discuss your goals, review your health history, and determine which testing and program package is right for you.
Q: What technology do I need for online coaching?
A: Just a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access. We’ll provide all links and instructions for secure sessions.
Cost & Forms of Payment
Q: Is this program covered by insurance?
A: Currently, functional genomics and health consulting are not covered by insurance. We operate as a cash-pay service. Our clients find the investment worthwhile compared to years of trial-and-error with traditional approaches.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Pricing varies based on the level of support and testing included. During our introductory call, we’ll go over package options that fit your needs.
Results & Expectations
Q: How long before I see results?
A: Many clients notice improvements in energy, sleep, digestion, and mood within weeks, but long-term transformation depends on consistency and depth of support. Genetics set the blueprint—your daily choices unlock the potential.
Q: Do you diagnose or treat medical conditions?
A: No. We are not a replacement for your primary care physician. Our role is to provide functional health insights, personalized strategies, and ongoing support to complement your existing care.
Q: What if I’ve tried everything else and nothing has worked?
A: That’s exactly why this program exists. Instead of guessing, we look at your genetic code, lab data, and personal health history to uncover what’s been missed and provide a truly personalized approach.
